An easy air fryer chicken steak recipe made with a quick homemade gravy. It gives you delicious, breaded steak goodness in no time thanks to your wonderful air fryer.
Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees.
Remove the cube steaks from the fridge and place them on a cutting board.
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a second bowl, combine the egg and water and whisk.
Take each portion of the cube steak and dip it into the flour mixture, the egg mixture, then back into the flour mixture making sure it is fully coated.
Place each piece of chicken fried steak in the air fryer in one layer and cook for 12 to 15, flipping and spraying with oil on both sides halfway through cooking.
Meanwhile, for the gravy: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Whisk in the flour, pepper, salt, and garlic salt, continually whisking.
Slowly add the milk and cream mixture, whisking constantly. Turn the heat to medium and cook, whisking occasionally, until thickened.
Remove the chicken fried steak from the air fryer and pour the gravy over top before serving.
