Homemade Cranberry Juice

This refreshing and sweet cranberry juice has a mild sour taste. Its ruby ​​red also looks very attractive and delicious.

 2 quarts water
 8 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
 5 ½ cups sugar
 ½ cup lemon juice
 ½ cup orange juice

In a Dutch oven or a large saucepan, bring water and cranberries to a boil. Reduce the heat; cover and simmer until the berries begin to burst, 20 minutes.

Strain through a fine strainer and press the mixture with a spoon, discard the berries. Return the cranberry juice to the pot. Add sugar, lemon juice and orange juice and stir. Bring to a boil, cook and stir until the sugar dissolves.

Remove from the fire. Cool. Transfer to pitcher, cover and refrigerate until cooled.
