Frensh Toast

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 12.5 cl hot maple syrup
  • 40 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 7 cl milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Beat eggs with milk and sugar.Add vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg and set aside on a shallow plate.
  2. Melt the butter in a frying pan.
  3. Soak the slices of bread (or other) in the mixture and brown it in the pan, turning so that both sides are golden brown.
  4. Serve by drizzle with hot maple syrup.
